How Does Gonal F Medicine Work?

Gonal F is not much different from follicle hormone (FSH) which is produced naturally in the female body. This medicine will stimulate the ovaries to become large and mature. This medication can increase the risk of what is called OHSS which is Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome. Excessive timulation syndrome on the ovaries results in you feeling a slight abdominal pain and bloating. These symptoms are common in patients taking Gonal F injections.

Gynaecology Info: FSH or follicle stimulating hormone is needed in the female body for the growth and development of eggs so that the fertility rate is increased.

Dream of Having Twins?

According to studies, Gonal F injection medicine can give multiple pregnancies (multiple conceive) with a higher rate than natural fertilization. So, if you crave twins, talk to your gynaecologist to get twins. But most doctors will try to reduce multiple pregnancies because a greater risk awaits mothers and unborn babies.

Warning! You are not recommended to use this drug if you have a tumor disease of the hypothalamus or pituitary gland of the brain.

The use of this drug can increase the frequency for miscarriage when compared to doing fertilization naturally. This is because treatment that stimulates follicle growth can bring good news for you that is pregnant and can bring bad news for you that is miscarriage.
